Texas A&M lost a rising piece to its offense during Monday's scrimmage. Freshman tight end Baylor Cupp suffered a broken left ankle in the Aggies' scrimmage Monday night on Kyle Field. "He'll be out for a while" due to the injury, Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher said. Cupp had surgery Tuesday. "He had a plate put on his ankle, tibia, on the lower part of his leg," Fisher said. "He'll be out for a while. Just got rolled up on. That was the only major injury we had in the scrimmage.

"Baylor was playing really good football. He was actually having a really good scrimmage, doing a really nice job. We hate to see that, but he'll get healed up and get back. He's still going to be one heck of a player and he was having a heck of a camp." - Dallas Morning News
