Draft Scout Chad Greenway News
03/06/17 - LB Chad Greenway plans to retire after 11 NFL seasons, all with the same organization. The 34-year-old Greenway will officially announce his retirement at a press conference Tuesday at the Vikings Winter Park headquarters. Greenway, who ranks fourth in franchise history with 1,334 career tackles, appeared in 156 career games with 144 starts.
11/22/16 - LB Chad Greenway has four of his 11 career interceptions in 17 games against the Lions. He returned a pick into the red zone in the first meeting this year, but the offense got backed up so far, the Vikings ended up having to punt.
11/21/16 - LB Chad Greenway became the seventh Vikings linebacker to play in 150 games.
11/07/16 - LB Chad Greenway played a season-high 50 of the 66 snaps and did very well. He played in the base as he always does, but also took over most of the nickel reps for Eric Kendricks, who was inactive because of a concussion. Greenway was pulled on third-and-long situations and replaced by the younger Emmanuel Lamur. Greenway had six tackles, including three within two yards of the line of scrimmage, defended running backs well in coverage and even jumped the fullback's route for an interception he returned into the red zone.
04/05/16 - LB Chad Greenway, who became an unrestricted free agent with the Vikings March 9, agreed to terms with the Vikings Monday (April 4).
