 Draft Scout Nick Kwiatkoski News
10/26/17 - LB Nick Kwiatkoski (pectoral muscle) is well enough to return to the starting lineup, but it's likely he'll only be rotated in occasionally because defensive coordinator Vic Fangio likes what he has seen the last two games from Christian Jones. "He's just getting better and better," Fangio said about Jones. "Christian was a guy who played full-time for us in 2015. He had never played inside linebacker before. I saw that he was getting better at that point and he's still getting better, so now you're seeing his third year. "Last year we moved him back and forth between inside and outside and it takes time for guys to improve and get the grasp. Inside linebacker, especially when you were a guy in college that played on the line of scrimmage, is a very, very hard transition. And you need patience. Sometimes patience isn't in abundance in this business. But I felt like he could improve all along and I still feel like he can improve more. He's not playing perfect but he's playing damn good."
10/23/17 - LB Nick Kwiatkoski (pectoral muscle) was active Sunday for the first time since Week 2, but was one of only two Bears active players who did not play against the Panthers. Kwiatkoski's injury was such that the team didn't want to rush him back onto the field and risk aggravating it. Christian Jones played in his place again and registered a team-high 11 tackles.
10/22/17 - LB Nick Kwiatkoski returned to action Sunday after missing the previous four games with an injured pectoral muscle.
10/16/17 - LB Nick Kwiatkoski (pectoral muscle) did not play Sunday against Baltimore, although he did practice on a limited basis last week. Kwiatkoski's status will be updated later this week. Any work he has done in practice in scrimmages has been limited to the scout team.
10/11/17 - LB Nick Kwiatkoski (pectoral muscle) practiced Wednesday on a limited basis. He is day-to-day and hasn't played since being injured against Pittsburgh in Week 2.
