Draft Scout Doug Baldwin News
10/10/18 - WR Doug Baldwin's health, coming off an MCL sprain, remains a topic of concern, and head coach Pete Carroll said his one-catch performance last Sunday wasn't impacted by lingering injuries and the ball "just didn't go to him." The Seahawks only threw 21 passes against the Rams, thus limiting his opportunities, and the veteran receiver finished with one catch for 1 yard.
10/03/18 - WR Doug Baldwin returned from a two-week absence battling an MCL injury to catch five passes for 41 yards in Arizona. He "came out of the game great," according to head coach Pete Carroll, and the Seahawks will be upping his workload in practice this week with the expectation that he will play more snaps against the Rams.
09/28/18 - WR Doug Baldwin will return on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals after missing the last two games because of a right knee injury, head coach Pete Carroll said on Friday.
Baldwin sat out most of training camp and all four preseason games after sustaining a left knee injury, but returned against the Denver Broncos for the season opener, when he suffered an injury to his other knee. "I'm excited to tell you Doug Baldwin is going to play in this game," Carroll said. Baldwin appeared in 100 consecutive games, including the postseason, before missing the last two.
09/15/18 - WR Doug Baldwin was ruled out Monday's game against Chicago due to a knee injury.
08/29/18 - WR Doug Baldwin said he expects to enter the season with his knee at less than 100 percent. The injury isn't expected to stop Baldwin from competing in the season opener against the Denver Broncos on Sept. 9. The 29-year-old returned to practice this week after being shut down for the past month with the injury. "I haven't felt 100 percent since I was born," Baldwin said Tuesday, via the Tacoma News Tribune. "I'm probably about 80-85 percent right now, and the truth of the matter is that it won't be 100 percent. It's something I've got to deal with for the rest of the season."
