11/21/17 - Nov 21 Stock Report: Who hurt themselves? Chukwuma Okorafor, OT, Western Michigan, SR. (6-5, 330, 5.39, #77)...One of the more interesting prospects in this year's senior class, Okorafor has intriguing NFL traits with his movement skills for a player his size and length, but the tape has been very up-and-down, including during MAC competition. Against Northern Illinois last week, he was consistently late with his hands and the erratic timing and placement of his strikes allowed rushers to blow past his outside shoulder, wrapping the edge to the pocket. Okorafor plays tight in his pass-sets, which restricts his power source, and his lack of aggressiveness consistently stands out from week-to-week. A native of the Republic of Botswana, Okorafor arrived in the United States in 2010 and picked up football soon after, so he is still very much a work in progress with various techniques. The tape has been inconsistent, but a week at the Senior Bowl will give scouts more clarity regarding his potential as a NFL starter. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
12/20/16 - 2016 ALL-MAC FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Offensive Lineman - Chukwuma Okorafor, Western Michigan,...Taylor Moton and Chukwuma Okorafor have led a Bronco offensive line that was ranked No. 4 in the country by Pro Football Focus. Western Michigan leads the league in rushing at 247.3 yards per game, good for 13th overall in the country. The offensive line has allowed just 12 sacks this season, ninth fewest in the country. Last week the group was recognized by the Joe Moore Award as being a semifinalist for the best line in the country. This is the first time since 1976 the team has had two offensive linemen earn first-team honors. - Western Michigan Football
