12/26/16 - 2016 ALL-SUN BELT FIRST TEAM (COACHES/MEDIA): Money Hunter, Arkansas State, Sr., DB, Communication Studies,...Hunter became the Sun Belt Conference’s all-time leader in career interceptions returned for a touchdown when he brought the fourth of his collegiate career against New Mexico State earlier this season. He also ranks second in SBC history, and third in A-State history, with 268 interception return yards to his credit. He was third on the team with 73 tackles, had three pass breakups and recovered a pair of fumbles. - Arkansas State Football
11/14/16 - NOV 14 SUN BELT DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Money Hunter (Arkansas State, Sr., DB, Communication Studies)...Senior safety Money Hunter became the Sun Belt Conference’s all-time leader in career interception returns for a touchdown, collecting his fourth during Arkansas State’s 41-22 victory over New Mexico State. Hunter, who also recorded five tackles, a pass break-up and recovered a punt return fumble by the Aggies, picked off an NMSU pass with 10:12 left in the first quarter and scored on a 46-yard return to give the Red Wolves a 13-0 lead. He pushed his career interception return yards total to 268, which gave him the second most in Sun Belt history and the third most ever by an A-State player. He is also now tied for the most pick-six’s in the nation among active players, while his 268 return yards are the sixth most among the same group. - Sun Belt Football
11/12/16 - Justice Hansen passed for 257 yards and two touchdowns, Warren Wand rushed for 91 yards and two short scores, and Arkansas State beat New Mexico State 41-22 on Saturday. Kendall Sanders made six catches for 101 yards and two touchdowns for Arkansas State (5-4, 5-0 Sun Belt). Blake Mack caught two passes for 46 yards, including a 35-yard touchdown from wide receiver Cameron Echols-Luper on a trick play to give the Red Wolves a 27-3 lead. Tyler Rogers threw for 256 yards and a touchdown for New Mexico State (2-7, 1-4), but his tipped interception was returned by Money Hunter for a 46-yard touchdown to give Arkansas State a 13-0 lead. Hunter, the son of former Major League Baseball player Torii Hunter, broke the Sun Belt record with his fourth career interception return for a touchdown. - AP Sports
