 Draft Scout Mike White News
01/27/18 - QB Mike White played the role of star quarterback early on at the Senior Bowl after Baker Mayfield and Josh Allen dominated the conversation throughout the week of practice. White completed 8 of 11 passes overall for 128 yards, including a 14-yard touchdown to Central Florida's Tre'Quan Smith in which the quarterback froze the safety, gazing down the middle before turning to his left and delivering a strike on the slant to his slot receiver. White also completed impressive throws to the perimeter, standing tall against a collapsing pocket to complete out routes to the sideline, including two to Smith. His most impressive throw of the day came in the first quarter with a perfectly lofted deep ball up the left sideline to Chark for a gain of 63 yards, approximately 50 of which came through the air.
01/04/18 - 2017 CONFERENCE USA FOOTBALL SECOND TEAM (COACHES): QB - Mike White, Gr-Sr., WKU,...Quarterback Mike White was voted to the Second Team for the second-consecutive year, after producing 79.8 percent of WKU's total offense through the air. He passed for 3,826 yards with 24 touchdowns compared to only seven interceptions. The Pembroke Pines, Fla., native threw for 300-plus yards in each of the past seven games, with 22 touchdowns in that span. Since 2016, White's 8,189 yards and 622 completions are the second-most nationally. - Western Kentucky Football
11/20/17 - NOV 20 CONFERENCE USA OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: WKU senior QB Mike White completed 39-of-54 passes for 485 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions in WKU's 41-38 victory over rival Middle Tennessee that made the Hilltoppers bowl-eligible. The 485 passing yards is the most by a Conference USA quarterback in 2017 (61 more than the next-closest performance) and the ninth-most by an FBS quarterback this season. Middle Tennessee came into the game with the No. 32 pass defense in the nation, allowing 194 yards per game thru the air, and White passed for 485. He completed 14 consecutive passes to begin the game, setting the all-time WKU program record. White threw a 93-yard touchdown to Lucky Jackson in the fourth quarter, the third-longest passing play in WKU history and the second-longest passing play in Conference USA this season. He threw for five TD passes with no interceptions for the third time this season (no other Conference USA quarterback has done so once), with each of the five going to a different WKU receiver. - Conference USA Football
10/21/17 - Mike White threw five touchdown passes for the second straight game and Western Kentucky scored 14 straight points in the fourth quarter to rally past Old Dominion 35-31 on Friday night. WKU pulled to 31-28 on Nacarius Fant's 9-yard touchdown catch with 9:03 left in the fourth. On Old Dominion's next offensive play, Drell Greene returned an interception 13 yards, and Quin Jernighan scored on a 30-yard touchdown grab for a four-point lead. ODU's Ray Lawry fumbled with 2:21 remaining on fourth-and-1, but the Monarchs got the ball back near midfield with 35 seconds left. Steven Williams' Hail Mary attempt as time expired was intercepted by Leverick Johnson in the end zone. White was 24 of 34 for 304 yards and Jernighan had a team-high 81 yards receiving for Western Kentucky (5-2, 3-1 Conference USA). Cameron Echols-Luper, Deon Yelder and Jacquez Sloan also scored on passes from White. Williams, a 17-year-old, was intercepted three times in the fifth straight loss for Old Dominion (2-5, 0-3). Lawry, who missed four games with an injury, ran for a season-high 166 yards and three touchdowns. - AP College Football

White threw touchdown passes to Deon Yelder, Kylen Towner, Mik'Quan Deane, Nacarius Fant and Jacquez Sloan. The scores marked the first career touchdowns for Deane, Sloane and Towner. After White's 8-yard pass to Yelder, Aaron McAllister ended a 10-play, 80-yard drive for Charlotte with a 9-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 7. White followed with a 59-yard touchdown pass to Towner and Western Kentucky (4-2, 2-1 Conference USA) led the rest of the way. Early in the second quarter, White added a 2-yard rushing touchdown to make it 21-7.
