02/27/18 - 2018 NFL Combine: Players Who Need to Interview Well: Max Redfield, S, Indiana (Pa.)...Entering his senior season at Notre Dame, Redfield was stamped with a draftable grade. However, he was arrested weeks prior to the 2016 season and charged with possession of marijuana and a handgun without a license. He was dismissed from the program and sat out that season before resurfacing at Indiana (Pa.) where he played well in 2017. - Dane Brugler,
08/22/16 - Notre Dame hands out discipline after weekend arrests...Notre Dame dismissed safety Max Redfield and suspended cornerback Devin Butler indefinitely as a result of arrests over the weekend, coach Brian Kelly announced Sunday. Six Notre Dame players were arrested in two separate incidents Friday and Saturday. Redfield, running back Dexter Williams, linebacker Te'von Coney cornerback Ashton White and receiver Kevin Stepherson were arrested for possession of marijuana, which is a misdemeanor. The players were stopped by a trooper in Fulton County -- which is about 50 miles outside of South Bend -- for driving 73 mph in a 60-mph zone, according to police.

Butler was arrested following allegations that he pushed a woman outside a South Bend, Ind., lounge and an altercation with a police officer. A South Bend police officer said Butler punched and slammed him to the ground outside the bar. Officers had to use a stun gun to subdue Butler, police said. Butler faces two felony charges: resisting arrest and battery of a police officer. Redfield and Butler, both seniors, received the most severe punishment because they are upperclassman. The university could further discipline all six players, according to Kelly. - The Sports Xchange

08/20/16 - S Max Redfield was among five Notre Dame players arrested Friday night after an Indiana State Police trooper reported finding a loaded handgun and marijuana in the car. Redfield was charged with possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor. In addition, he was charged with possession of a handgun without a license, a misdemeanor. Redfield, a senior, has been a starter at safety the past two seasons and was the Irish's fourth-leading tackler in 2015 with 64 total tackles, and he had one interception.
08/31/13 - TOP OF 2013 RECRUITING CLASS: Redfield, a defensive back from Mission Viejo, Calif., was also a second team USA Today honoree and ranked among the nation's top 30 athletes by two services. "We think Max is an elite player," Kelly said. "He's a young man that has a specific skill set that could see him play offense, he could play defense, he's going to play in that safety position for us." - The Sports Xchange
