Draft Scout Dorian ODaniel News
01/24/18 - Senior Bowl Wednesday: Evaluating linebackers in an all-star setting is difficult until the game, because players are not allowed to fully tackle during practices. Auburn's Tre' Williams and Clemson's Dorian O'Daniel, however, have made several eye-popping plays over the first two days of practice with the former delivering some impressive hits and the latter showing intriguing agility and instincts in pass coverage. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com
12/02/17 - 2017 ALL-ACC FOOTBALL SECOND TEAM (COACHES/MEDIA): LB Dorian O'Daniel, Sr., Clemson, 102 Votes,...Dorian O'Daniel, Clemson's leading tackler, made the second team along with Austin Bryant. O'Daniel was the top vote getter on the second team defense and has 95 tackles and two interception returns for scores. Bryant is second on the team in tackles for loss and sacks. He had four sacks in the win over Auburn in September. - Clemson Football
10/24/17 - LB Dorian O'Daniel has been a thorn in Georgia Tech's side in each of his previous three games against the Yellow Jackets. The graduate linebacker has 26 tackles, including six tackles for loss, against Georgia Tech, so there's no reason to believe he'll let up now in the midst of his career-best season.
10/02/17 - OCT 2 ACC LINEBACKER OF THE WEEK: Dorian O'Daniel, Clemson, Gr., LB, 6-2, 215, Olney, Md.,...O'Daniel made school history in the second-ranked Tigers' 31-17 win at No. 12 Virginia Tech. The graduate student had 10 tackles, a sack, a fumble recovery and a 22-yard interception return for a touchdown. 09/30/17 - No. 2 Clemson crashed No. 12 Virginia Tech's house party Saturday night and came away with yet another big victory over a ranked opponent. The Tigers toppled the Hokies 31-17 in front of an electric crowd at Lane Stadium. Junior quarterback Kelly Bryant passed for 186 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 94 in leading Clemson to its third win this season over a ranked opponent and its fifth straight victory over Tech. Playing their ACC opener, the Hokies (4-1, 0-1) never really threatened the Tigers (5-0, 3-0) in the first matchup of AP top 12 teams at Lane Stadium since 2009. Clemson led 10-0 after the first quarter and 17-3 at halftime. The defending national champions were out-gained by the Hokies, 342-332, but forced three turnovers in extending their school-record road winning streak to 12. The Tigers have won eight straight against teams ranked in the AP Top 25 and are 10-1 in matchups of top 15 teams in the last three years.
Clemson sophomore running back Tavien Feaster scored two touchdowns, one rushing and one passing. Tech redshirt freshman quarterback Josh Jackson completed 29 of 44 passes for 251 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. The Hokies fell to 1-31 all-time against AP Top 5 teams. Clemson took a 24-3 lead on Feaster's 1-yard touchdown run with 7:12 remaining in the third quarter. That deficit stood until early in the fourth when Greg Stroman returned a punt 43-yards to set up a 2-yard scoring run by wide receiver Sean Savoy. The Tigers sealed the victory on a 22-yard interception return for a touchdown by linebacker Dorian O'Daniel with 11:08 left. Clemson dominated the first half, taking a 17-3 lead into the locker room at intermission. - The Sports Xchange
