09/27/18 - TE Jake Butt suffered a torn ACL in his left knee during Thursday's practice and is expected to miss the remainder of the 2018 season.
Said Broncos head coach Vance Joseph, "Jake has worked his tail off to recover from his previous injuries, and we feel terrible for him. He's a great kid who's developed into a very good football player. We have no doubt Jake will come back stronger than ever."
Butt (6-6, 250 pounds) is a second-year player who started Denver's first three games in 2018 and ranked third on the team with eight catches for 85 yards (10.6 average). Selected by the Broncos in the fifth round (145th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft, Butt spent his rookie season on injured reserve after recovering from a torn ACL in his right knee suffered during his final collegiate game at the University of Michigan.
11/06/17 - TE Jake Butt's season officially ended when the Broncos opted to not activate him from the non-football injury list.
Butt practiced off and on the last three weeks, but soreness in the knee he injured last December was enough to cause the Broncos to shut the fifth-round pick down for the season.

The rookie is on the reserve/non-football injury list, and the Broncos have until Nov. 6 to decide whether to move him to the 53-man roster.
