 Draft Scout Jylan Ware News
10/03/18 - T Jylan Ware was signed by the Giants to their practice squad Tuesday (Oct. 2). He had been waived by the Raiders Sept. 1.
08/08/17 - T Jylan Ware missed practice with an undisclosed injury.
03/13/17 - It was a beautiful afternoon as Alabama State University hosted Pro Day on Friday at the Houston Markham Jr. Football Complex. Alabama State coaches, teammates and families came out to support the athletes participating in the Pro Day since it was last hosted in Montgomery in 20014. ASU Football was highly represented in the 2017 Pro Day event. Thirteen (13) senior student-athletes participated in the vertical jump, bench weight, 20 and 40- yard dash and a variety of football drills. NFL scouts from 17 different teams came to Montgomery, Ala., to watch the student-athletes from Alabama State and Tuskegee preform.

With this being Hornet head coach Brian Jenkins' first Pro day at Alabama State, he was impressed about the turnout from the fans and scouts and noted Friday was a successful day. "Overall I think it was a successful Pro Day," Jenkins said. "Whenever you can get this many scouts to come out and look at your players and take them throughout all kinds of test and to see what kind of skills they got, it's a positive." Players' performance views varied from some positive to negatives. "I didn't do what I wanted to do, but everything is in Gods plans," ASU senior running back Khalid Thomas said. "I am thankful to have this opportunity today and to show what I can do." Another Hornet, Jalen Ware, also thought Friday went well during his Pro Day audition. "I think today went pretty well, I got some positive feedback from scouts who saw me do my drills today," Ware said. - Alabama State Football
