 Draft Scout Michael Gallup News
12/03/17 - 2017 ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM (COACHES/MEDIA): WR Michael Gallup Sr. Colorado State,...Gallup, a Biletnikoff Award finalist, has recorded 94 catches for 1,345 yards this season, leading the league in both categories. He was the first player in the FBS to reach the 1,000-receiving-yard plateau this year, and is one of just two players in the nation with multiple 200-yard outings. Gallup currently ranks fourth nationally in receiving yards and receiving yards per game and third in receptions per game. He also leads the FBS in receptions of 10-plus yards. Gallup, a liberal arts major, was also a first-team All-Mountain West honoree last year. - Colorado State Football
11/14/17 - Michael Gallup leads the country in yards receiving with 118 per game after 11 catches for 102 and a score against Boise State last week. The 6-foot-1 senior from Georgia is no system guy, piling up numbers in a high-volume passing offense. He has NFL ability and was named a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award this week. - AP College Football
10/16/17 - OCT 16 MOUNTAIN WEST OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: MICHAEL GALLUP, COLORADO STATE, Senior, Wide Receiver, Monroe, Georgia/Butler County CC...Caught 13 passes for 263 yards and three touchdowns in Colorado State's 44-42 home win over Mountain West opponent Nevada...Set a career high in receiving yards and tied his career best in touchdowns and receptions....Scored the Rams' first two touchdowns of the game on receptions of 56 and seven yards...With CSU trailing by four in the fourth quarter, hauled in a 17-yard touchdown reception for the game-winning score. - Mountain West Football
08/27/17 - Week One Standouts: Michael Gallup, WR, Colorado State, 6-1, 195, 4.52, Sr.,...Gallup and the Rams opened their new on-campus stadium in fine fashion Saturday, stampeding the visiting Oregon State Beavers 58-27. There were plenty of standouts for the victors, but no one shined brighter than Gallup, who caught a game-high 11 passes for 134 yards, the sixth consecutive game in which he eclipsed the 100-yard mark in receiving yards dating back to last season, his first with the Rams. The Monroe, Ga., native was recruited by SEC schools out of high school, but wound up at Butler Community College for two years before choosing Colorado State over several other FBS offers. As the featured target in Colorado State's pro-style attack, Gallup quickly emerged as the most prolific receiver in the Mountain West last season, hauling in 76 passes for 1,272 yards and 14 touchdowns, including at least one in his final eight consecutive games.

Gallup possesses an athletic frame with good overall weight distribution. He was featured on a variety of routes by the Rams, showing burst and aggression to attack the perimeter on quick screens and drag routes, extending his hands and plucking the ball away from his frame. Gallup's most impressive reception of the game was also his longest, a 48-yard bomb deep down the middle that floated a bit, forcing him to adjust his route and track the ball first over his left shoulder, then directly overhead before corralling it finally over his right and hanging on securely while being ripped to the ground by a fast-closing OSU defensive back. A reigning first-team All-MWC receiver expected to earn the number of targets that could capture the interest of Biletnikoff Award voters this fall, Gallup currently ranks sixth among 2018 receivers on's board. - Rob Rang,

08/27/17 - Colorado State routs Oregon State 58-27...Nick Stevens threw for 334 yards and three touchdowns to lead Colorado State over turnover-riddled Oregon State 58-27 in the season opener Saturday for both teams played in the new 36,500-seat Colorado State Stadium in Fort Collins, Colo. The Beavers committed five turnovers, including four in the second half. Colorado State scored after each of Oregon's State turnovers in the game, totaling 27 points. Stevens completed 26 of 39 passes with only one interception. His primary target, Michael Gallup, had 11 receptions for 134 yards. Jake Luton, the fourth Oregon State player to start a season opener at that position in as many years, also passed often. He completed 27 of 47 for 304 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions. The Beavers' season high in pass attempts last season was 39 against Washington State. Luton attempted 31 passes by halftime. - The Sports Xchange
