10/27/15 - OCT 26 SUN BELT DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Cody Brown (Arkansas State, DB, Jr., Communications)...Junior safety Cody Brown tied his career high with seven tackles, posted one pass break-up and returned his third interception of the season 30 yards for a touchdown during Arkansas State's 37-27 victory over Louisiana-Lafayette. Brown, who has now picked off a pass in three consecutive games, led an A-State defense that limited Ragin' Cajuns quarterback Jalen Nixon to just 17-of-44 passing on the night. His pick-six came early in the second quarter and gave the Red Wolves a 27-0 lead. His final tackle of the night came at a crucial moment in the game as well. Trailing by just 10 points with over seven minutes to play, Louisiana-Lafayette drove all the way to the A-State 33 yard line before Brown came up with a fourth-down tackle of running back Elijah McGuire to preserve the Red Wolves' lead. - Sun Belt Football
