Draft Scout Seth Collins News
12/14/17 - Wide receiver Seth Collins has been granted his release from the Oregon State Beavers. Collins, a junior, played in just three games last season because of illness and injuries. He finished with 12 catches for 130 yards and one touchdown. His best game came on Oct. 7 against USC, when he caught five passes for 91 yards. A dynamic playmaker, Collins was a quarterback for the Beavers his freshman year but the next season he shifted to wide receiver. For his career at Oregon State, he had 48 catches for 548 yards and two touchdowns. He was also hospitalized with an illness that kept him out of the final two games of the 2016 season. - AP College Football
09/11/17 - WR Seth Collins might be ready to return to action after missing the first three games with a broken finger. He could add an explosive presence to an offense that definitely needs one.
08/31/17 - WR Seth Collins could be out up to a month with what is now described as a broken finger. He was expected to be the starter at the slot receiver position.
08/21/17 - WR Seth Collins, expected to be the starter at the slot receiver position, is doubtful for the opener with an injured hand that has kept him of practice.
02/08/16 - Dual-threat quarterback Seth Collins, who was electrifying but inconsistent in a freshman year marred by injury, is transferring from Oregon State. The school announced Friday night he was leaving. The Beavers finished 2-10 in Gary Andersen's first year as coach, going without a conference win for the first time since 1997. Collins passed for 936 yards and six touchdowns with four interceptions. He led the Beavers in rushing with 380 yards and eight touchdowns. After winning a three-way battle in fall camp, Collins was also the first true freshman to start at quarterback for the Beavers since David Moran against Washington State in 1996. He shared duties as the start of the season with redshirt freshman Marcus McMaryion as the Beavers sought to give three inexperienced quarterbacks game experience in Andersen's new system. - AP Sports
