 Draft Scout *Ronnie Harrison News
01/20/18 - NFL Early Entries: College Winners and Losers: Loser -- ALABAMA: No need to cry a river over Alabama's early departures. Nick Saban always reloads, plugging in five-star recruits for five-star recruits, but the five total losses, including these four, have to be acknowledged: Defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick, defensive tackle Da'Ron Payne and receiver Calvin Ridley could be top 10 picks, and safety Ronnie Harrison is another first-round talent. - Anthony Gimino, The Sports Xchange
12/13/17 - 2017 ALL-SEC SECOND TEAM (COACHES): DB Ronnie Harrison, Alabama,...Senior center Bradley Bozeman was named to the second-team offense while senior defensive lineman Da'Shawn Hand, junior defensive lineman Da'Ron Payne, senior linebacker Rashaan Evans and junior defensive back Ronnie Harrison were second-team picks on defense. - Alabama Football
11/07/17 - NOV 6 SEC CO-DEFENSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ronnie Harrison, DB, Alabama...The junior safety helped key another strong defensive performance for the top-ranked Crimson Tide in a 24-10 win over No. 19 LSU...He finished with six tackles, three solo stops and half of a sack (-3 yards) to lead the Alabama defense in production points...Harrison also recorded his third interception of the season and returned is six yards to setup the Tide's second touchdown...He helped limit the Tigers to just 155 yards passing and a completion percentage of just 48.4 percent for a passer rating of just 83.94. - SEC Football
11/07/17 - Alabama FS Ronnie Harrison "covers ground well for his size" and is a "long strider with closing burst," according to ex-Saints and Bills scout Ryan Hollern, writing at @ITLScoutsNotes. - InsidetheLeague.com
09/17/17 - It wasn't always pretty, but No. 1 Alabama cruised to a 41-23 victory over Colorado State at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday night. The Crimson Tide improved to 3-0 under the lights in front of a raucous crowd. "I was really pleased with the way we came out and started fast in this game on both sides of the ball," Alabama coach Nick Saban said. "That's something that we have not done in our games (before tonight), and that was certainly the goal -- to try and come out and be a dominant team, but we did not sustain that and we didn't finish the game like we needed to." On its first possession of the second half, Alabama pounded Colorado State with its running game and a few quick passes. Running back Bo Scarbrough finished the 14-play, 88-yard drive with a 9-yard touchdown run to make it 31-10. The drive was set up by an interception from safety Ronnie Harrison. Alabama's defense struck again on Colorado State's next possession. Rams quarterback Nick Stevens sailed a pass that landed in the hands of safety Hootie Jones, who returned the ball deep into Colorado State territory. That led to a 5-yard touchdown run from Alabama running back Damien Harris to make it 38-10 midway through the third quarter. "In the second half, first two possessions we drive down the field and turn the ball over, which really killed us," Colorado State coach Mike Bobo said. - The Sports Xchange
