11/25/16 - Air Force stuns No. 19 Boise State...Air Force managed a huge goal line stand in the final minutes to upset No. 19 Boise State 27-20 on Friday. The loss ended any chance for the Broncos (10-2) to earn a spot in the Mountain West Championship Game. Because of this result, Wyoming will now play San Diego State for the conference title. Air Force (9-3) forced a fumble by Broncos quarterback Brett Rypien on a 4th and 1 from the 1-yard line with 4:29 left in the game. The Falcons were then able to run out the clock following a key first-down run by D.J. Johnson, who finished with 73 yards on 17 carries and a touchdown Rypien completed 9 of 26 passes for 316 yards and a touchdown. Air Force opened a 24-10 lead on an 8-yard TD run by Shayne Davern with 8:56 remaining in the third quarter. A holding penalty on tight end Jake Roh on the next possession nullified a touchdown run by Jeremy McNichols, forcing Boise State to settle for a field goal. - The Sports Xchange
11/22/16 - NOV 21 MOUNTAIN WEST DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: WESTON STEELHAMMER, AIR FORCE, Senior, Defensive Back, Shreveport, Louisiana/Calvary Baptist Academy...Led the team with 10 tackles (seven solo), including one tackle for loss, and two interceptions as Air Force won at San Josť State, 41-38...With Air Force trailing 23-17 late in the third quarter and SJSU driving for a score, intercepted Spartan QB Kenny Potter at the Falcon 4-yard line to end the drive....With 16 seconds remaining in the game and Air Force leading 41-38, recorded his second interception of the game at the SJSU 35-yard line to secure the win for the Falcons. - Mountain West Football
10/01/16 - Weston Steelhammer watched the first half from the locker room. No doubt, Navy wishes he would've stayed put. Suspended for a half because of a targeting penalty the week before, the Air Force senior safety provided a second-half spark for a defense that was already playing lights out. Steelhammer led a dominating defensive effort , tailback Tim McVey scored twice, including a 62-yard TD catch, and Air Force beat Navy 28-14 on Saturday to take a big step toward claiming the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy. Jalen Robinette had five catches for 163 yards for Air Force (4-0), which extended its home winning streak to 15 straight. His 75-yard TD catch late in the third quarter broke open the game.

Steelhammer sat out the first half after being disqualified for a targeting call in the third quarter last weekend at Utah State. All dressed up and nowhere to go, he watched the opening half from the locker room, but soon made his presence felt by picking off a Will Worth pass with Navy driving in the third quarter. He had another late in the game. "The guys out there did a great job in the first half of keeping us in it," Steelhammer said. "I didn't want to be too much of a distraction coming back." - AP Sports
