  12/11/20 - Carson StrongrJr/2022, Nevada, 6-3, 230 (DS#6 QB) + More +

Norvell raves about the three roommates, who all pace the MW in their respective statistical categories. Strong is first in the conference in passing yards (2,327) and passing touchdowns (21); Doubs is first in receptions (44), receiving yards (885) and receiving touchdowns (nine). And Turner is second in receptions (40) and receiving scores (six) and third in receiving yards (496), each pacing MW tight ends. "It's fun to coach this group of guys," Norvell said. "It really is. I mentioned Cole Turner and Romeo Doubs and Carson Strong are all roommates, and I kind of call them The Three Amigos. But they all have the same personality. They don't say much. They just love to practice and love to play and have great chemistry together. It's fun to see those guys all kind of mature together."

Norvell said Nevada's offensive improvement is a result of his players having more experience together. Strong, Doubs and Turner were each members of Norvell's second recruiting class and worked out every day together during the summer as the COVID-19 pandemic raged on. They'd sneak out to the field to run routes and grow their on-field chemistry. The bond has been formed over three years of living together and has fully blossomed in 2020. "It 100 percent helps," Turner said of being roommates. "We've all been super close friends. We've always lived together. Always being around each other, we know each other and each other's personalities. We've always gelled. None of us are ever getting mad at each other. We're always on the same page." - Nevada Sports Net
