The Chicago Bears have made Shea McClellin the 19th pick of the 2012 draft.
6’3″ 260 lbs. Caldwell, Idaho August 1, 1989
College Career: 130 tackles, 30.5 sacks, 4 INTS, 1 TD
McClellin as a linebacker on the blue field at Boise State, but he’ll stay in the mid-west with the Chicago Bears switching positions and putting his hand in the dirt. This is your classic mid-west farm boy that knows the value of hard work.
Playing opposite of Julius Peppers in the Bears’ 4-3 defense, he will present more front four pressure for opponents of the Bears in 2012. In their cover-2 defense, they rely heavily on that pressure and the Bears made it apparent with this pick that they feel they have addressed the issues on offense that cause them to fall out of the playoff race last season.
