  SEPT 9/WEEK 2 BIG SOUTH DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Monmouth linebacker Da'Quan Grimes had a team-high seven tackles - all solo, in the Hawks' victory over Lafayette. He also tallied a tackle-for-loss plus two quarterback hurries as part of a defense that forced seven punts and held the Leopards to minus-12 yards rushing. His TFL as well as one quarterback pressure forced third down plays, he had another stop for no gain, and also forced a fourth-down situation during the afternoon. Also nominated for Defensive Player of the Week: Justice Galloway-Velazquez (Campbell), Josh Ramseur (Gardner-Webb) and Dorian Walker (Kennesaw State). - Big South Football
