  Emmanuel Rugamba, a three-year member of the Miami University football team, signed a free agent contract with the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League. Rugamba, a transfer from Iowa, earned third-team All-MAC honors in both 2019 and 2020 and was the Mid-American Conference Championship Defensive Player of the Game his junior season. In 2019, the defensive back started 13 contests, finishing the year with 85 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, one interception and eight pass breakups. He had 11 tackles versus Central Michigan in the MAC Championship game and added nine tackles and his first career interception at Western Michigan. The following year Rugamba started all three games for the RedHawks in 2020. He had 11 tackles, a forced fumble and an interception. Rugamba had seven tackles in a win over Ball State and had a 62-yard interception return for a touchdown in a 35-7 win at Akron. - Hamilton Journal News
