Erroll Thompson's long Mississippi State career is over. The senior linebacker has chosen to forego the extra year of eligibility the NCAA granted all seniors who played during a season heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic to enter to 2021 NFL Draft. Thompson announced his decision via Twitter. Thompson led Mississippi State with a career-high 95 tackles in 2020. He totaled 312 in his career with 23.0 for loss and 10.0 sacks. He is the 16th player in program history to record more than 300 tackles and the first since Mario Haggan in 2002. - Jackson Clarion Ledger
