  Draft Scout by Conference

Throughout this season, the Florida State Seminoles have used a trio of running backs. But with La'Damian Webb and Lawrance Toafili either limited or unavailable during last weekend's game against North Carolina State, it was all on Jashaun Corbin to produce out of the backfield. Corbin did not disappoint as he registered his best performance of the season. Despite the 38-22 loss to the Wolfpack, Corbin set a season high with 77 yards on 14 carries, including a 28-yard touchdown run on 4th-and-1. FSU also used Corbin in wildcat packages throughout the game, which had a ton of success. He helped pick up three of the Seminoles' five fourth-down conversions. "He's the type of guy you want on your football team," FSU offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham said about Corbin.

"Great kid, smart kid, passionate, brings it every single day. The type of game he had, he made the safety miss on a critical fourth down, went, and scored a touchdown. And he was a vital part of what we did. "Because of all the wildcat, we lined up, we needed a vet to step up with two freshmen in there, that we had to develop a plan to where if one of those guys at quarterback did get rattled, we needed to be able to put somebody back there who could calm us down and not make them have to make every play. His maturity and his intelligence allowed us to line up in wildcat and really take a lot of pressure off those young quarterbacks. Corbin, a native of Rockledge, Florida, transferred to FSU after spending two years at Texas A&M. - Times Union
