It took a couple of games, but junior quarterback Jake Haener displayed why he was a Pac-12 talent. Haener, who transferred from the University of Washington to Fresno State last season, threw for a career-high 311 yards, completing 22-of-32 attempts. Haener averaged 13.9 yards per completion. A week after committing four turnovers in a loss to the Rainbow Warriors, Haener had an error-free game. Haener directed the Bulldogs on five scoring drives and helped the Bulldogs accumulate more than 400 yards of total offense. "It was really impressive how the guys came back to work and how the coaches prepared," Haener said. "It gave us an opportunity to do good things. I'm really impressed with that." Fresno State had three scoring drives, which all resulted in touchdowns, with 10 plays or more. The Bulldogs scored every time they were in the red zone, going 5-for-5, and averaged 5.5 yards per play. - Visalia Times-Delta
