Former Arizona State quarterback Jack Smith has found a landing spot, transferring to Division II Central Washington. Smith, the son of ASU baseball coach Tracy Smith, reportedly found his landing spot at Central Washington through new offensive coordinator Zak Hill, who played there. Smith, a 6-foot-1, 164-pounder, has three years of eligibility remaining and was no doubt looking for playing time, with sophomore Jayden Daniels having a firm grip on the ASU starter's job although Smith was a candidate for the backup role. Smith first played for Arizona State in 2016 after starring as a quarterback at Phoenix Mountain Pointe High School. He finished his prep career with 6,396 yards and 65 touchdowns to go with 1,573 rushing yards and 18 rushing touchdowns. - Arizona Republic
