  During the last two seasons, Dimitri Stanley has laid a foundation by gaining some experience in college football. Now, the Colorado receiver is hoping to build upon that and become a better player. Although the coronavirus pandemic has created some uncertainty about whether there will be a college football season this fall, Stanley has spent his offseason improving his craft. "I've just been preparing myself as much as possible," said Stanley, a redshirt sophomore from Cherry Creek High School. "I've just been in the weight room, been conditioning, been on the field doing footwork and getting catches in."

In 2018, the 5-foot-11, 190-pound Stanley took advantage of the NCAA's new redshirt rule to play in three games and maintain his redshirt. He started two of those games, catching six passes for 43 yards. Last year, he played in all 12 games, including eight as a starter in the slot, finishing fourth on the team in receptions (29) and receiving yards (312), while hauling in two touchdowns. With 15 games under his belt, Stanley said, "I've just learned how much faster the game is; what kind of pace that I have to play and the standard that I have to hold myself to. Being able to be accountable and have my teammates relying on me to make those big plays." - Daily Camera
