  Draft Scout by Conference

A couple of football players, including one former local high school standout, has decided to move on from Louisiana Tech. Former Ruston High School running back DeAndre Marcus as well as backup linebacker Brandon Floyd, a former incoming JUCO transfer to Tech, have entered their names into the transfer portal. 247sports.com reported the moves last week. Marcus was the fourth-string tailback for the Bulldogs to open 2019, his redshirt freshman campaign, but after some injuries worked his way into some playing time. The 6-1, 201-pound back appeared in six games as a backup, receiving 26 carries for 205 yards and scored his first career collegiate touchdown in Louisiana Tech's 69-21 blowout win versus UMass. He also caught two passes for 12 yards. He'll have three years of eligibility remaining and he told The News-Star he'll likely look to join a junior college program for the upcoming season in hopes to "go bigger." - Monroe News Star
