You have probably read about Chris Evans' journey over the last year by now. The Michigan running back was dismissed from the football team last February, the result of a university decision to suspend him for academic misconduct. A reason has never been provided publicly. At the time, Evans owned up to it, writing on social media that he was "going through some academic issues right now" but vowed to return. He since has - Evans was reinstated by the university, and the football team, in January and expects to play his senior season for the Wolverines."It's a great feeling that he's back," outgoing Michigan linebacker Khaleke Hudson told reporters last week at the NFL Scouting Combine.

"Just, like, seeing the things that he went through." Evans shared a home with Hudson and former Michigan linebacker Josh Uche, both of whom got a first-hand look at his life outside of football. And because Evans wasn't on the Michigan football team, he had to find other sources of income. He delivered food around Ann Arbor, took on a job coaching football at nearby Huron High School and continued operating his "CE Stars" 7-on-7 football leagues for kids. All while trying to stay in football shape for his eventual return. "He's loyal, and he cares about the team," Hudson said. "He cares about the players. He cares about his family. So, he just didn't want to up and leave. That's the easy way to go out. He'd rather stay and deal with the consequences he had to go through, and come back stronger." - Ann Arbor News
