2019 ALL-GREAT LAKES VALLEY CONFERENCE HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): Turner Pullen, Fr., QB, MCK,...In his first season as McKendree's top signal-caller, Pullen completed 169-of-280 pass attempts for 2,407 yards. Pullen threw 24 touchdown passes, which ranks second on the Bearcats' single-season chart. His longest TD pass of the 2019 campaign came during McKendree's season finale at Missouri S&T, when he connected with Towns on a 75-yard strike. Pullen had 12 touchdown passes of at least 40 yards this season, including nine that went for 50 yards or more. All of Pullen's passing statistics are records for a first-year McKendree quarterback. In addition to his lofty passing numbers, Pullen was third on the Bearcats' squad with 301 rushing yards, and he led the team with eight rushing touchdowns in 2019. The eight TDs are the most for a McKendree quarterback since Isaac Fisher had nine during his GLVC Offensive Player of the Year campaign in 2015. - McKendree Football

2019 GREAT LAKES VALLEY CONFERENCE FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR (COACHES): Turner Pullen, Fr., QB, McKendree,...Pullen completed his first season at McKendree as the league's fifth-best passer with 219.5 passing yards each time out, while setting school records for a first-year quarterback. The Shelbyville, Illinois native completed 169 of 280 passes for a 60.4 completion percentage and 2,407 total yards, while posting 24 touchdowns with just seven interceptions. He threw nine touchdowns of at least 50 yards and 12 total scores of 40 yards or more on the year, with the longest coming on a 75-yard strike against Missouri S&T on Nov. 16.

He had 2,708 yards of total offense, including 301 yards on the ground and a team-leading eight rushing touchdowns. Cole and Pullen join four other Bearcats as major award winners as Isaac Fisher was the 2015 GLVC Offensive Player of the Year, while Lucky Baar (2014), A.J. Wentland (2016) and Austin Weltha (2017) have picked up GLVC Defensive Player of the Year accolades. - Great Lakes Valley Conference Football
