  2019 ALL-PIONEER FOOTBALL LEAGUE HONORABLE MENTION (COACHES): Hunter Cobb (RFr., RB),...Nine Red Foxes were named PFL Honorable Mention. The Marist football team finished the 2019 season at 4-7 overall and 4-4 in PFL play. It marked the seventh time in the Red Foxes' 11 years in the PFL that they finished at least .500 in league play.   Hunter Cobb ran for two touchdowns, Andrew McElroy had a 90-yard pick-6 and Marist beat Valparaiso 26-14 on Saturday in the Pioneer Football League season finale for both teams. Trailing 19-14 after a 37-yard Luke Paladino field goal, Valparaiso had driven to the Marist 11 with 20 seconds left to play when McElroy intercepted a Chris Duncan pass and returned it all the way to seal the win. Cobb, with 92 yards on 18 carries, scored runs of 16 and 60 yards and the Red Foxes (4-7, 4-4) led 16-8 at halftime. The Crusaders (1-11, 1-7) closed to 16-14 on Duncan's 9-yard TD pass to Ollie Reese, and got the ball back with 2:34 to play after Paladino's field goal. Luke Strnad was 10 of 18 for 147 yards with an interception for Marist. Anthony Olivencia had three catches for 102 yards. Duncan was 17 of 43 for 232 yards with two TDs and two picks for Valparaiso. - AP College Football

  Hunter Cobb ran for three touchdowns and 146 yards as Marist took control late to get past Butler 37-27 on Saturday to garner its first back-to-back victories of the year. Marist (3-5, 3-2 Pioneer League) beat Davidson 27-21 last week by unleashing Cobb, who ran for a career-high 178 yards and two scores. Cobb had just 47 total yards coming into that breakout game. Cobb broke for a 48-yard touchdown run to give Marist a 17-14 lead with 8:25 remaining in the first half. Luke Paladino added a 28-yard field goal for a 20-14 halftime advantage. Butler's Drew Bevelhimer booted field goals from 52 and 39 yards to tie the score late in the third. Cobb capped a seven-play, 75-yard drive with a 9-yard scoring run, Paladino added a 46-yard field goal and Cobb rumbled in from the 21 late in the fourth to seal the win. Butler (2-7, 1-4) was led by Nick Orlando, who threw for 183 yards and one score but was picked off twice, including a 37-yard pick-six by Ryan Webb. - AP College Football
