  Coastal Carolina senior kicker Massimo Biscardi was one of 30 student-athletes named to the 2021 Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award preseason watch list, it was announced by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission on Wednesday, July 28. A 2018 Lou Groza Award semifinalist his freshman season, Biscardi makes the watch list for the third time this year having previously been on the national watch list at some point in both 2018 and 2019. For his career at Coastal, Biscardi has made 39-of-49 field goals for a 79.59 field goal percentage to go along with 115 PATs and a total of 232 points. He enters the 2021 season just three made field goals behind the CCU career leader in Justin Durham (42). - Coastal Carolina Football

He has also made 46 PATs, which leads the Sun Belt, and scored multiple points in every game this season for the Chanticleers.   OCT 19 SUN BELT SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Massimo Biscardi, Coastal Carolina,...Biscardi kicked a 40-yard field goal through the uprights with just four seconds remaining to hand the Chanticleers their first-ever win over an FBS top 25 nationally ranked program last week with their 30-27 road win at No. 21 Louisiana. The game-winning field goal was the second of his career (2018 at Georgia State) and puts him at 11-for-13 from 40 yards or longer for his CCU career.   Coastal Carolina placekicker Massimo Biscardi put a 40-yard game-winning field goal through the uprights with just :04 seconds remaining in the contest to give the Chanticleers the program's first-ever win over an FBS top 25 nationally-ranked program with a 30-27 victory at No. 21 Louisiana on Wednesday night in Lafayette, La. The win puts Coastal at 2-0 in Sun Belt Conference play for the first time in the program's history as a Sun Belt member (since 2017). Coastal is off to a 4-0 start to the season for the first time since 2015 and just the fourth time in program history (2013, 2014, and 2015).   2020 PRESEASON ALL-SUN BELT CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM (COACHES): K - Massimo Biscardi, Coastal Carolina,...A 2018 All-Sun Belt third team pick as a freshman, Biscardi got off to a great start in 2019 when he was named the Sun Belt Special Teams Player of the Week (Sept. 2) following the season opener versus Eastern Michigan (Aug. 31). The 2018 Lou Groza Award semifinalist, played in all 12 games last season, serving as the placekicker and kicking on kickoffs. He was second on the team in scoring with 79 points on 15 field goals and 34 extra-points made. Biscardi scored a point for the 13th-straight game, every game he has played at Coastal Carolina dating back to last season, and make three field goals in the same game for the third time in his 13-game career. His 53-yard field goal in the second quarter was a career-long and tied the Coastal school record for the longest made field goal in program history.
