2019 ALL-MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM (COACHES): Quarterback - Mike Glass III, Eastern Michigan,...In his first year as the primary signal caller for the Eagles, Glass was electric with 3,203 yards of total offense (345 rushing, 2,858 passing) and 29 touchdowns. He led the MAC and ranks 17th nationally in total offense with 291.2 yards per contest. Glass finished the regular season ranked 14th in the FBS in completion percentage (67.8%), 18th in completions per game (21.64), 18th in points responsible for per game (16.0), and 24th in passing yards per game (259.8).

Glass ranks fourth in total offense in a season in EMU's 128-year history and needs just 188 yards to pass Charlie Batch's mark of 3,390 that has stood since 1997. Also, Glass is 422 yards away from moving past Batch for the most passing yards in a single-season, while he needs two touchdown passes to surpass the two-time Super Bowl Champion's mark of 23 set in 1997. He is also just 23 passes short of tying Andy Schmitt for the most passes completed in a single year with 261. - Eastern Michigan Football

NOV 25 MAC WEST DIVISION OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Eastern Michigan QB Mike Glass III,...Eastern Michigan senior quarterback Mike Glass III (St. Louis, Mo.) completed 20-of-24 passes (83.3%) for 235 yards and three touchdowns, while adding a running touchdown as well, in a 45-17 win at Northern Illinois on Nov. 19. The win was the first for Eastern Michigan over NIU since the 2007 season and ensures that the Eagles will finish with a .500-or-better record for the third time in its last four season. The performance also notched Glass to over 2,400–career passing yards, a mark which only nine players in Eastern Michigan history have outmatched. Glass' performance has Eastern Michigan bowl eligible for the second consecutive year, and for the third time in the last four seasons, both feats that have never been accomplished in the program's 128-year history. - Mid-American Conference Football

Mike Glass threw for three touchdowns and ran for another and Eastern Michigan rolled past Northern Illinois 45-17 on Tuesday night. The Eagles (6-5, 3-4) snapped an 11-game losing streak to the Huskies (4-7, 3-4) dating to 2007 and ended NIU's title hopes in the Mid-American Conference West Division with one league game remaining. Eastern Michigan also became bowl-eligible for the second straight season, a program first. Shaq Vann rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries for Eastern Michigan and Arthur Jackson caught two TD passes. Glass was 20-of-24 passing for 235 yards. The Eagles led 14-7 at halftime before scoring 24 points in the third quarter for a 38-10 bulge. Huskies quarterback Marcus Childers was intercepted three times and lost a fumble. Tre Harbison rushed for 112 yards on 30 carries for NIU. The three previous games between these programs went to overtime. - AP College Football

Mathew Sexton blocked a punt and returned it 30 yards to score the winning touchdown with 10 seconds left and Eastern Michigan beat Central Connecticut 34-29 on Saturday. Mike Glass III passed for 279 yards and four touchdowns for the Eagles (3-1). A lightning strike in the area delayed the game for 47 minutes after Glass threw his fourth TD pass to make it 28-15 early in the fourth quarter.

When play resumed, the Blue Devils (3-1) drove 75 yards to cut the deficit to six on Keonte Lucas' 1-yard run. Central Connecticut then took a 29-28 lead with 2:05 to go on Aaron Winchester's 68-yard TD pass to Tyshaun James. The Blue Devils retook possession when Tre Jones intercepted Glass' pass with 1:23 left, but the Eastern Michigan defense forced a three-and-out to set up Sexton's big play.   Chad Ryland booted a 24-yard field goal as time expired to give Eastern Michigan a 34-31 win over Illinois on Saturday. It was the Eagles' third win over a Big Ten team, following victories against Rutgers in 2017 and Purdue in 2018. Mike Glass was 23 of 36 for 316 yards and three touchdowns to lead EMU (2-1). Jarius Grissom rushed three times for 52 yards, while Willie Parker had 23 yards on 11 carries and a touchdown. "Awesome, awesome day for our program," EMU coach Chris Creighton said. "Our defense played well. We knew we weren't going to shut them out, because they are really good, but we did what we needed to. Our guys just executed."

Brandon Peterson was 22 of 37 for 297 yards passing, two touchdowns and an interception for Illinois (2-1). Reggie Corbin, who sat out the last game with a hip pointer, carried the ball 18 times for 144 yards for the Illini. "A lot of people need to do a better job, including me," said Illinois coach Lovie Smith. "We didn't play our best today, but we have a lot to build on. We're a 2-1 football team, so we've done some good things. Next week (against conference foe Nebraska) will be a better indicator or where we are." - Eastern Michigan/AP College Football
