  08/11/22 - CB Brandon MoorerSr/2023, Nebraska, 6-0, 174 (DS#173 CB) + More +

Nebraska football added yet another transfer to its secondary just two weeks before its trip to Ireland. On Monday afternoon, NU announced the addition of former Central Florida and Florida State defensive back Brandon Moore, who played for current Husker defensive backs coach Travis Fisher in 2017 at UCF. Moore started 21 games for the Golden Knights, then tore his ACL early in the 2019 season. He transferred to Florida State, then left that school in August 2021. He did not play last season. He'll arrive at NU for his sixth-and-final year, presumably. The 6-foot, 180-pounder had 77 tackles and two interceptions over the 2017 and 2018 seasons with UCF. The Huskers' have strong competition at all four defensive back spots, Fisher said on Monday. - Lincoln Journal Star

  08/25/21 - CB Brandon MoorerSr/2023, Nebraska, 6-0, 174 (DS#173 CB) + More +

Florida State cornerback Brandon Moore is no longer with the Seminoles program. Moore's departure was first reported by 247Sports and later confirmed to the Orlando Sentinel by an FSU spokesman who said the graduate transfer from UCF was "no longer part of the program." The Sanford product announced his decision to transfer to FSU on Jan. 11 after four seasons at UCF where he accounted for 77 tackles and two interceptions in 26 games for the Knights. Moore suffered an ACL injury in the second half of the 2019 season opener against Florida A&M on Aug. 29 and he was among a handful of UCF players who remained on campus during the summer despite the coronavirus pandemic to continue their rehabilitation work. - Orlando Sentinel

  01/13/21 - CB Brandon MoorerSr/2023, Nebraska, 6-0, 174 (DS#173 CB) + More +

Former UCF cornerback Brandon Moore, who contributed to the Knights' undefeated season in 2017, is transferring to Florida State for his final year of eligibility. He follows close friend and former UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton, who also has transferred to FSU. Milton and Moore have spent much of the past two seasons together while recovering from knee injuries. Moore, a redshirt senior and Sanford Seminole High alum, has not played since suffering a torn ACL in the 2019 season opener that sidelined him for the rest of the 2019 season and all of 2020. He entered the NCAA transfer portal Sunday. - Orlando Sentinel

  09/03/20 - CB Brandon MoorerSr/2023, Nebraska, 6-0, 174 (DS#173 CB) + More +

UCF defensive back Brandon Moore took to social media to update fans on his recovery from an ACL injury he suffered in the 2019 season opener. "Although I'm not 110%, I'm on my way, know that. I'm thankful for everyone that has helped me throughout this journey and continue to do so, running my own race, 20 will be back," Moore said in a statement on the UCF program's official Twitter account. The announcement was accompanied by a 48-second video highlighting Moore's recovery. He wore a brace on his left leg and ran on the team's practice field with no apparent difficulty.

Moore suffered the injury late in the third quarter of UCF's game against Florida A&M on Aug. 29. He was among a handful of Knights who remained around campus this summer despite the coronavirus pandemic to continue their rehabilitation work. "He's getting close to doing all functional movement and preparing himself to get back out there on the field at some point this fall," UCF coach Josh Heupel said of Moore. "He's done a great job of continuing to battle and handle that rehab process and I'm proud of what he's done. He'll be back and playing at a championship level, no doubt about it." - Orlando Sentinel
