2020 ALL-PAC-12 CONFERENCE SECOND TEAM: K Jet Toner, Sr., Stanford,...Toner, a fifth-year from Honolulu, Hawaii, had a strong season coming back from last season's injury. He finished the season 7-of-11 on field goal attempts, making the final seven after missing all four in the season opener. Despite a missed PAT at UCLA, Toner set a new school record with 113 consecutive made PATs prior to that miss. He is now 118-of-119 (.992) in his career for PATS, the fifth-most makes in school history, while his 280 career points are third in Stanford history. This year marks the third time in his career he has earned All-Pac-12 honors. - Stanford Football

Stanford football coach David Shaw announced Tuesday that kicker Jet Toner will miss the rest of the season with a lower body injury. Toner, 12 of 16 on field goals with a long of 51 yards this season, was injured on a kickoff during Stanford's loss to UCLA on Thursday. It appeared trainers were working on his left knee or ankle. The senior also connected on 13 consecutive PAT kicks and leads the Cardinal in scoring with 49 points. He has kicked 47 field goals and 101 successful PATs with Stanford. Freshman punter Ryan Sanborn will also assume kicking duties for the foreseeable future. "His handling of the punting and kicking duties was outstanding," Shaw said. The team also held open tryouts for Sanborn's backup. "We found some possibilities," said Shaw. Quarterbacks K.J. Costello (thumb) and Davis Mills (knee) remain questionable and it appears Jack West will get the start Saturday when Stanford (3-4, 2-3) hosts Arizona (4-3, 2-2) at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. - Palo Alto Online

There was no reason for any doubt when Jet Toner stepped up to kick the game-winning field goal for Stanford Saturday night. "He's got that cool Hawaiian breeze going through his veins," Cardinal coach Davis Shaw said about the senior from Honolulu. Toner's 39-yard field goal came with just a second left on the clock, and Stanford overcame Oregon State's late rally for a 31-28 victory that snapped a three-game losing streak. The Beavers tied the game at 28 on Artavis Pierce's 1-yard touchdown run with 1:55 left in the game. But Connor Wedington returned the kickoff 43 yards and Davis Mills passed for a first down and ran for another on a final drive that ended with Toner's field goal.

Mills, starting in place of injured quarterback K.J. Costello, threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns for the Cardinal (2-3, 1-2 Pac-12), who extended their winning streak over the Beavers to 10 games. Costello sat out of the game after injuring his thumb in Stanford's loss to No. 13 Oregon last Saturday. "It was huge," Shaw said about the win. "First and foremost because it was a conference win. Tonight was the great team win that you're looking for." The game, which was delayed for 15 minutes because of lightning in the area, was the Pac-12 opener for the Beavers (1-3, 0-1). Oregon State had a bye last weekend after a 45-7 victory over lower-tier Cal Poly two weeks ago. - Stanford/AP College Football
