  09/12/20 - WR Justin MarshallrSr/2023, Buffalo, 6-2, 205 (DS#98 WR) + More +

Justin Marshall's time has come. For the last two years he's been biding his time, learning from the wide receivers ahead of him on the depth chart. He redshirted in 2018 and played limited snaps last year while becoming a key member of the special teams unit. This year, though, his snaps at wide receiver will no longer be limited. For Louisville's Saturday opener against Western Kentucky, he'll likely take the field as a starter alongside standouts Dez Fitzpatrick and Tutu Atwell. While he hasn't received the accolades and attention that Fitzpatrick and Atwell have this offseason, there's excitement around Marshall's debut in the role. And it's easy to see why.

He passes the eye test as a 6-foot-3, 213-pound receiver who is long and has good hands. But there's more to the Conyers, Georgia, native than just his size. After an offseason of uncertainty surrounding the football season, a time that left him wondering when he'd take the field for the Cardinals, he's excited to show all of his skills. "I feel like over the years, I've been here for a good minute now, and I've been working," Marshall said. "Just honing my skills each and every day to make sure that when it is my time that I'm ready to showcase my talent." - Courier Journal
