TCU linebacker Garret Wallow's pre-draft process had a significant setback when he pulled out of the Senior Bowl after testing positive for COVID-19 in late January. He made up for that during his pro day on Friday. Wallow was arguably TCU's biggest winner during the day, testing well and showcasing his athleticism in front of almost 60 NFL executives and scouts. Among those in attendance included Carolina Panthers coach Matt Rhule, New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton and Minnesota Vikings general manager Rick Spielman. "I definitely think I helped myself today," Wallow said afterward. "Especially doing both linebacker and safety drills. Definitely gave them another aspect of fluidity. Definitely bummed about not being able to do the Senior Bowl, but this is why I used today to give it my all." - Fort Worth Star

Fortunately, I feel better and look forward to getting back to work as soon as possible." Wallow, who is listed at 6-foot-2, 230 pounds, is viewed by some as a possible top-100 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. He is coming off another standout season in 2020, earning first-team All-Big 12 honors with 90 tackles, including nine tackles for loss and three sacks. He also had five QB hits and three forced fumbles. - Fort Worth Star

TCU football's streak of sending players to the Senior Bowl will extend a seventh year. Senior linebacker Garret Wallow accepted an invitation to the 2021 all-star event in Mobile, Alabama, on Monday night. That means TCU will have sent at least one player to the game every year since 2015. Wallow, who is listed at 6-foot-2, 230 pounds, is viewed as a possible top-100 pick for the 2021 draft and will have a chance to solidify that in the coming months. Wallow had another solid season, earning first-team All-Big 12 honors with 90 tackles, including nine tackles for loss and three sacks, during the regular season. He also had five QB hits and three forced fumbles. Wallow finished with 295 tackles in his career, the fourth-most among defenders in the Patterson era. - Fort Worth Star

Senior linebacker Garret Wallow has told reporters he plans on going to the NFL draft in 2021. While nothing is official, the loss of Wallow would be a win for the opposition. Wallow has proven to be a key player for the Frogs on and off the field. A captain the past two seasons, Wallow has been responsible for training up the next generation of leaders on the team. Head coach Gary Patterson has said "all of the people around Garret Wallow are great people, and they are great people being he is a great person." Wallow led the team in total tackles in 2019 (125 tackles) and 2020 (90 tackles). He makes his presence known on the field and opposing teams should be thrilled they don't have to prepare for him in 2021. - Dallas Morning News

TCU has sent at least one player to the Senior Bowl every year since 2015. That streak has a strong chance of staying in tact in 2021. Horned Frogs linebacker Garret Wallow is already generating early buzz from Senior Bowl officials going into next season. Jim Nagy, the bowl game' executive director, posted on social media Monday morning about Wallow. "TCU football had four players drafted in first three rounds in 2020 but one key returner the Senior Bowl can't wait to see is Big 12 leading tackler WLB Garret Wallow," Nagy posted on his Twitter account. "The converted safety stood out on junior tape with his instincts and closing burst."

Wallow had a standout junior season in 2019, leading the Big 12 with 125 tackles. Of those 125 tackles, 18 were for loss including 3.5 sacks. He also had one interception and two QB hurries.   TCU is closing fan access to home athletics events until at least April 3, citing growing coronavirus concerns. All events will be open only to "essential personnel," the school announced. "Essential personnel are student-athletes, coaches, trainers, team and medical personnel, game officials, operational and administrative staff, student-athlete families, credentialed media and TCU recruits," the school said in a news release. Among the most notable event affected is TCU canceling its spring football scrimmage that had been scheduled for March 28 at Amon G. Carter Stadium. The university planned to unveil the east-side expansion that day, but it will now do so at a later date. - Fort Worth Star
