  04/23/22 - SS Steve Stephens IVrSr/2024, Oregon, 6-0, 194 (DS#40 SS) + More +

Nearly six months since his 2021 season ended, Steve Stephens IV is expecting to see the field again at Autzen Stadium The Oregon Ducks safety injured his right hamstring during the win over Colorado on Oct. 30 and missed the remainder of the season, finishing the year with 33 tackles, with two for loss, and a pass breakup. Stephens was limited to begin spring practice but has increased his level of participation and took reps with the second-team defense on Tuesday. He expects to play during Saturday's spring game (1 p.m., Pac-12 Network). "Soft tissue injury, we wanted to take our time with it," Stephens said. "For the most part I'm back, you see I'm out there flying around...You'll see me in the spring game for sure." Stephens is still getting treatment for the leg injury and has increased his strength and mobility. The coaching staff has built up his workload from individual drills to now a steady amount of snaps with the secondary and entire defense. - The Oregonian
