  10/08/22 - QB Andrew PeasleyrSr/2024, Wyoming, 6-2, 216 (DS#24 QB) + More +

Andrew Peasley threw two touchdown passes to Treyton Welch and Cameron Stone settled things for Wyoming when he returned an interception 38 yards for a score in the final minute of the Cowboys' 27-14 victory over New Mexico on Saturday night. Wyoming (4-3, 2-1 Mountain West Conference) led 20-14 when Stone intercepted a Justin Holaday pass on third-and-15 at the New Mexico 45-yard line. New Mexico (2-4, 0-3) jumped out to a 14-0 first-quarter lead on short touchdown runs by Miles Kendrick and Holaday. Welch hit Peasley for a 47-yard touchdown in the second quarter and Wyoming trailed 14-7 at halftime. The Cowboys took the second-half kickoff and marched 75 yards in eight plays with Welch throwing to Peasley for a 29-yard score to tie it at 14-all. John Hoyland made two field goals before Stone's pick-6. Peasley completed 10 of 21 passes for 174 yards. Welch finished with four catches for 87 yards. - Wyoming/AP College Football

  08/08/22 - QB Andrew PeasleyrSr/2024, Wyoming, 6-2, 216 (DS#24 QB) + More +

After going 12 of 21, with 201 yards and two touchdowns, with the first team offense in the spring game, while completing as many passes as the rest of the quarterbacks combined, it seemed pretty obvious Utah State transfer Andrew Peasley was the frontrunner to take the reins of the offense. The Cowboys still haven't made an official announcement on who the starter will be, but comments from his teammates since training camp started indicate Peasley is set to be the guy behind center to start 2022. He bulked up to around 214 pounds this summer on a heavy diet of teriyaki chicken and white rice, and believes he's at the ideal weight for him to have the best blend of strength and speed. He's spent the offseason building chemistry with his wide-outs and tight ends, but sophomore receiver Joshua Cobbs, who figures to be the Pokes' go-to receiver this fall, says this connection has come naturally since day one in Laramie. - Wyoming Tribune Eagle

  05/08/22 - QB Andrew PeasleyrSr/2024, Wyoming, 6-2, 216 (DS#24 QB) + More +

Andrew Peasley looked like Wyoming's next starting quarterback during the spring game. The Utah State transfer passed for 201 yards with a 67-yard touchdown to tight end Jackson Marcotte and a 35-yard touchdown to wide receiver Jaylen Sargent. UW head coach Craig Bohl did not release a post-spring depth chart. The quarterback competition between Peasley, Evan Svoboda, Hank Gibbs, Jayden Clemons and incoming freshman Caden Becker will continue throughout fall camp. One of the keys to the 2022 season will be what Peasley and the Pokes do this summer when no one is looking. "Peasley is learning our offense and is still a work in progress, but I do think he's got some maturity," Bohl said after the spring game. "He was able to be resourceful with the football. It's important he has a good summer." Peasley, a backup with the Mountain West champion Aggies, arrived on campus in January and quickly earned the respect of his new teammates by trying to lead them through winter conditioning. At Utah State the 6-2, 210-pound junior from La Grande, Oregon, ran for 510 yards and three touchdowns, including a 62-yard touchdown scamper against New Mexico in 2020. - Casper Star-Tribune

  05/04/22 - QB Andrew PeasleyrSr/2024, Wyoming, 6-2, 216 (DS#24 QB) + More +

Wyoming QB Andrew Peasley led the Gold to a 26-22 win over the Brown in the Cowboys' spring game. The Brown signal-callers, Evan Svoboda and Jayden Clemons, wore white jerseys, which meant they were free game. But there was some clarity during the Cowboys' 114-play game. Peasley looked like a heavy favorite to be the starter when the season kicks off Aug. 27 at Illinois. The Utah State transfer finished 12-for-21 passing for 201 yards with two touchdowns on a windy afternoon. The other three quarterbacks were a combined 12-for-34 passing for 97 yards with no touchdowns. - Casper Star-Tribune

Andrew Peasley passed for 239 yards and three touchdowns, and rushed for 118 yards and another score, and Utah State used four third-quarter touchdowns to beat New Mexico 41-27 on Thursday night in a battle of winless teams. Utah State had just two passing touchdowns - and 45 combined points - through its first four games. Utah State trailed 13-6 at the break until Peasley led the Aggies on three touchdown-scoring drives in the first six-plus minutes of the third quarter for a 27-13 lead. He had touchdown throws of 35, 26 and 25 yards. Kina Maile, who blocked a punt earlier in the game, scored on a fumble return to make it 28-13 and Peasley added a 62-yard scrambling touchdown late in the fourth. Justin McGriff, Savon Scarver and Carson Terrell each had receiving touchdowns for Utah State (1-4, 1-4 Mountain West). Trae Hall passed for 63 yards and rushed for 70 for New Mexico (0-5, 0-5), which has lost 14 straight games. - AP College Football
