2019 ALL-AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM (COACHES): LB Patrick Nelson, SMU, Sr.,...SMU's final first-team selection is the program's new all-time single-season sack leader Nelson. With two in the Mustangs' final regular-season contest, Nelson bro ught his single-season total to 12.0. The 1.0 per game is good for second in the league and eighth in the nation. Nelson also posted a career-high 3.5 TFLs in the game for 17.0 in 2019, good for third in the AAC and top-15 nationally.
